You driving Vs a Computer driving

Last time we talked about the safety about Self Driving Cars, which raised a cuestion overhere. Would you do it?

Not all driving is done with the same purpose, some drive to get to work from home and viceversa, some drive to seek thrill, some drive for a living. So it got us thinking.

Would you let a computer do the driving in a Dakar Rally? or in a F1 Grand Prize? Would you root for a computer instead of your favorite Pilot? Would you take a Self Driving Cab? or bus?

Can you imagine? The Formula One World Constructors' Championship List containing Motherboards developers? not really a big fan of that thought if you ask me.

Take for example the 2003´s Michael Schumacher Austria´s Pit stop from hell. The hose stuck and then it almost burned the team, the car, the pilot, and should have burnt he FIA executives! But the man stood there very relaxed, trusting his team would take control of the situation.

Then he proceeded to win the race!

What would have a Motherboard done? Turn off the ignition? stop the gas intake?  relinquish the race? would it have waited for the team to control the fire? would a computered car have a team of humans or robots to assist it?

Maybe the FIA will let us know with it´s inssistance on overprotection saying something like "NO MORE HUMAN PILOTS"
#all lives matters.

Theres also the design factor, for some reason the current selfdriving cars look very silly,

Look at this piece of advanced technology                                                                  Look at the future.

Yes yes, there is the traffic and safety issues, and those are very interesting points to consider. I guess that eventually the computers could be taking control of the "Supercars". Then the question rises again,

why would you adquire a "Supercar" if you will let somebody/something else drive it?
