Gluing LUG NUTS good or bad idea?

It is long known that in NASCAR pits, hours before the races starts a mechanic or wheel tech glues the LugNuts to the frame of the rim, they do this in order to gain seconds in the stops and winning races (I´ll leave an interesting video studying this very matter)

They take the LugNut and glue one side to the frame of the rim aligned with the hole where the bolt shows up, this really offer ALL of the teams a little quickness on the pit stops.

It´s all fun and games until we start doing it on our own Lug Nuts! Yes, this guys benefit from it but, if i may, What on earth do we gain from doing it IRL?

Some people started to say that this process could offer some protection against the Nuts falling off place - if thats the case let me suggest you to change your Lug Nuts to a more trustworthy brand.

Check Here.

Now. it may be a little effective for preventing theft, but something called Wheel Locks work better for that, anyway, if its going to make it difficult for a thieve to take off your aftermarket wheels, imagine how hard will it make it for you when you have to change the tire on a winter blizzard on your way home.

So, please, it isn´t a real solution to any problem in the day to day use of your car, get better pieces if you are concerned, technology has advanced a great deal in these matters.
